Hyper Dimension Game Neptune, a new PS3 RPG revealed in Famitsu magazine, puts players in the role of a personified video game console in the fight against piracy. Neptune is a fictional video game console turned into a girl, on a quest to defeat the "Goddess Majicon" -- "Majicon" being the Japanese term for DS flash carts like the R4.

• Platform: PS3 | Genre: RPG | Developer: Compile Heart | Publisher: Sega
• Takes place in the fictional world called Geimugyokai - 'Game industry'
• Geimugyokai is split into 4 different worlds with 4 different goddesses
• The four worlds are Platetume, Rinbox (X360), Lasdition (PS3),Ruwii (Wii)
• The four goddesses are Purple Heart, Green Heart, Black Heart, White Heart
• Battles are in 3D
• Able to summon guardian angels from actual games or from pictures in the PS3 photo album
• Possible to customize appearances and combos
• Neptune and others work together to beat the evil goddess “Majekonnu” - Majikon is the term used to refer to DS flash carts like R4
• Game companies are represented by characters in the game too - Gust, Nippon ichi etc

I heard about this yesterday, though i didn't see those scans. But now that I've seen them, seriously i must have that game! xD The concept just seems awesome, and I really, really love the character designs.

So even if NISA, Tecmo Koei, Ghostlight, Rising Star Games or even SEGA since they're the japanese publisher or whatever good european rpg distributor there is, won't release it here, I'm definitely importing it.

HAHA, I hope someone pics this up and the also that Dreamcast and Saturn will be represented as they were hurt by piracy too!

Wow, sounds like pretty interesting idea...but I'm not gonna get my hopes up on ever being able to play the game myself though

Also Siliconera uses different writing for the worlds than what razenkrautz used. So according to them, the main character Neptune's world is called Planetune. Green Heart's world is called Leanbox, Black Heart's world is called Raystation and White Heart's world is called Ruii.

Siliconera also put up an article which shows the game companies (NIS, GUST, Idea Factory, Compile Heart) as girls, and i really have to say that i love how the NIS girl looks.
