Story: He was the son of clan leader Harigane Takegetsu and the daughter of the clan leader of the Agetsune clan, Lirina. Both clans were loyal to Shingen Takeda. Tanadatsi was the sixth son of the couple, between Nohimaga and Samuka. He fell in love with local villager, Oichi, who turned out to be the sister of Shingen Takeda's enemy Nobunaga Oda.
When he was sixteen, in 1568, his brother, Rigetsaga attempted to assassinate his father and Shingen Takeda. In order to prevent his brother from the sin of his life, he attempted to get in Rigetsaga's way. Rigetsaga almost slew Harigane, but Tanadatsi slew Rigetsaga brutally. Samuka discovered Rigetsaga's body stashed under Oichi's village bed. Oichi fled when she was given a bounty for hiding a body. Tanadatsi attempted to prevent word from spreading but sooner or later, the village elders became depressed, and young boys began assaulting him.
His closest friend, Nagaretsu Ujitsune, son of the heir to the Ujitsune clan, swore an oath of brotherhood with him. But when his father became clan leader, Nagaretsu's mind changed just like Rigetsaga's, and his hunger for the clan became grand. First, framing his father for trying to explode the village, killed his father and gained heritage over the clan. The villagers applauded him for saving them.
Angered by Rigetsaga's death, Harigane sent Tanadatsi to join Shingen Takeda's army, in hope he would be killed in his first battle. Shingen Takeda decided to please Harigane by making Tanadatsi a 3rd Rate Samurai. Rate Samurai warriors were the Samurais who were following the Vanguard General. Then came Stone Samurai - those in the Vanguard General's league but controlled a Rate Samurai squad. Then cane the Law Samurai - the Samurai who were in control of a squad of ten Stone Samurai which meant 100 samurais under his command. Then you was accepted into the General Samurai League. The leagues between Rate and Law Samurais were from 10th Rate-1st Rate then 10th Stone-1st Stone and then 10th Law-1st Law. Tanadatsi was under the squad of a demented Stone Samurai.

D. Shingen Takeda or Samuka Takegetsu are defeated
Shingen Takeda watched Tanadatsi's team play in his squad. Impressed with his taunts and cooperation, Takeda decided to collect taunt letters from 3rd Rate Samurais. Tanadatsi's letter managed to lure Hojo Ujikuni out of the castle. His younger brother, Samuka, led a full assault on Ujikuni as soon as he exited, causing the leader to flee into the castle. In a rage, Takeda demoted Samuka into 4th Rate Samurai. Tanadatsi was immediately promoted to 8th Stone Samurai.
Due to Harigane's anger, Takeda decided to cancel his raid on Odawara Castle, but Tanadatsi managed to cool him down. Harigane then asked for forgiveness of his folly. Shingen Takeda allowed Harigane to increase his power over the Takegetsu clan. Harigane, unsuccessful in his attempt to have Tanadatsi killed, sent Oishi on a mission to get him to betray Shingen Takeda. However, Oishi told Tanadatsi the truth, who told Shingen Takeda of Harigane's attempts. Again, Tanadatsi cooled Shingen Takeda's anger, which led to Harigane gaining even more power in the background image.

V. Defeat Hojo Ujikuni and Odawara Castle is captured
D. Shingen Takeda or Samuka Takegetsu are defeated
Samuka again, suggested his return as a general, which Shingen Takeda agreed too. Takeda then decided a full assault on Odawara where Samuka played with his mind to allow him to lead the vanguard. Angry that he was being led by Samuka, Tanadatsi settled his camp 20 miles west from the castle, instead of in the town like Samuka suggested. Hojo Ujikuni sent out three waves on the southern town camp, almost losing Samuka's life. However Tanadatsi burned the town's rear and Hojo Ujikuni lost 10 000 soldiers. Hojo Ujikuni escaped barely with 5 000 other soldiers. Samuka pretended that he burned the camp down. Takeda had watched the whole battle.
Scared of the Takegetsu's increasing power, Takeda requested creating Tanadatsi 3rd Law Samurai to enrage Harigane. Harigane attempted to slay Tanadatsi, where Takeda used it as a excuse to kill Harigane and give the clan over to Egetsi, Harigane's weakest and youngest son and child. Domegane, angrily foiled Takeda's attempts. Takeda then agreed that the Takegetsu clan can win their backs if they prove their might by conquering Mimasetoge before 1570 began. Knowing of their failure, Tanadatsi agreed to join his family, since despite their hate for him, he still loved them and had to protect them.
3. Battle of Mimasetoge (1569)
Takeda Army vs Hojo Army
Harigane Takegetsu com Hojo Ujikuni/Hojo Ujiteru
V. All members of the Takegetsu reaches the Escape Point
D. Any member of the Takegetsu is defeated
Making their way to the pass, Tanadatsi had a bad feeling they were about to be attacked in a surprise attack. Harigane dismissed this. However, Hojo Ujiteru ambushed them and slew 900 of Harigane's finest men. Tanadatsi moved to save Harigane's life. It was then when Samuka and Harigane forgave Tanadatsi for his crimes of Rigetsaga's death. Tanadatsi explained the truth and this time Harigane believed him. After their reconciliation as father and son, Harigane led the army back to Kai to greet Takeda.
Shingen Takeda was glad that they were back together again and gave them both a safe resting place in Kai. They were allowed six months of war to get to know each other and Takeda promised the Takegetsu clan with a lot of power. Domegane remained in their clan castle, where Harigane returned to shortly afterwards. In 1570, Harigane allowed Tanadatsi to return to Kai with their long-lasted grudge ended. In August 1570, Tanadatsi returned to visit his father with Oishi, where they spotted Harigane's body on the stairs to the throne and Domegane's body buried in a bath of sand, mud and water.
His mother, Lirina, muttered many things and amongst those things she mentioned 'Nagaretsu's sin', 'Nagamasa Azai's death', 'Nobunaga Oda's assassination', 'Shingen Takeda's mourning' and 'poison'. In an angered state, Lirina grabbed Oishi and beat her in the mud that Domegane was in, stabbed Tanadatsi in his stomach, chained both of their unconscious bodies to the wall and attempted to poison them. Before they were able to drink from it, Nagaretsu arrived and attacked Lirina, killing her. Tanadatsi blamed his crazed friend for this and broke out of his chains using the sharp steel from his steel-coated feather pen he named 'Art'. He then released his sister Oishi and rode to the home of Oichi.
Tanadatsi discovered she was married to Nagamasa Azai and the two had a son called Noyunara. Oichi also revealed she was Nobunaga Oda's sister. That was when he realised that the two closest people to Oichi were mentioned by his mother before her death.
